Common sense is sometimes painful.

This concept works for a Title Company, a Realtor, a Lender, an Attorney, a Builder, or any business for that matter.

Think about this, a customer walks in the door and is greeted by name, they walk around the office and every employee they encounter knows who they are and greets them by name. Lets imagine that any of your staff people involved in that transaction asks them if all has gone well with that deal, or any others they may have with us, just think about how good it would make the customer feel if you told them that you worked on their deal and are glad to see that it closed for the customer smoothly with no major problems.

How often do you think that this happens and we don’t acknowledge our customer or really thank them for the business, not just a thank you note or call, but by our actions.

How often do we call a customer after a deal closes and let them know how much we appreciate them and their business, and by the way, was the deal handled by our staff efficiently and effectively, and equally important, was your client happy that you directed the transaction to Benchmark.

On a different level, what do we know about our customers, do we know anything about their family, do we know what sports team they root for, do we know what other interests they may have. Little things that you may want to know and comment about to make the customer feel welcome and that you care.

How often would a customer want to do business with you if they knew that you and your staff cared about them and their business? How often would a customer want to come back to you if every time they walked into your office they felt welcome, and just as importantly their customer felt welcome?

Does this sound corny? Does this sound impossible? I submit to you that the world is often a corny place, marketing is a corny business, and an attitude of “The difficult we can do, the impossible just takes a little longer” is very corny but it works.
